 BETA VEHICLES SA

Brings back how 51 vehicles looked in the beta of GTA San Andreas.

Early in development, Rockstar used vehicles from GTA Vice City

in San Andreas, and many vehicles had other wheels, textures or

details that were changed before the game came out. This mod

puts them back, using ONLY files made by Rockstar: the Vice City

models and the old textures that are still inside the game files.

 REQUIREMENTS

--------------------------------------------------------------

- GTA San Andreas v1.0 (US)

- Modloader

No limit adjuster is needed: every vehicle replaces one that is

already in the game.

 INSTALLATION

--------------------------------------------------------------

Copy the "Beta Vehicles SA" folder into the modloader folder.

Every vehicle has its own folder. If you don't want one of them,

just delete its folder. Each folder has the .dff and the .txd,

so it works even if your game files are modified.

 VEHICLES FROM GTA VICE CITY

Converted to the San Andreas format, with San Andreas collision

(fitted to the Vice City size), engine, damage and glass:

  Admiral, Bloodring Banger, Esperanto, Glendale, Greenwood,

  Linerunner, Oceanic, Perennial, Rumpo, Sabre, Stallion, Taxi,

  Voodoo, Walton

  PCJ-600, Sanchez

  Maverick, News Chopper, Sparrow, Seasparrow

- The helicopters have sharp 2-blade rotors (no blurred disc).

- The Stallion has no petrol cap (you can't shoot it to make

  it explode).

- The Taxi roof sign is an extra, like in Vice City.

- The Linerunner can still tow trailers.

- The Admiral has the Vice City "saloon" wheels (as in a beta

  screenshot).

- The Oceanic has the Vice City "classic" wheels.

                (still paintable, like the original)

  Stuntplane    2-blade propeller

  Beagle        2-blade propellers (as in the official strategy guide)

 NOTE

Some vehicles and details (wheels and colours) are based on

small or blurry beta screenshots, so some of them may not be

exactly how they really were in the beta, or may not be real

at all.
